Twinning

AT the last meeting of the Cardigan-Brioude Twinning Committee, members were unanimous in their continued support and encouragement of links with their twinned town in the Massif Central, France. This alliance has been in place and prospered since its establishment in 1972 - pre-dating the entry of the UK into the European Union in January 1973!

During the biennial Trade Fair (Foire Expo) out in Brioude in May, Cardigan Chair, Catrin Miles emphasised the group’s commitment to the continuation of twinning links and the strong bond between our two towns - whatever the outcome of current Brexit negotiations.

The committee is now preparing for its annual general meeting, to be held at the Moose Hall, Queen’s Terrace, Cardigan at 6pm Tuesday, 13 November.

A warm welcome is extended to members, friends and all who might wish to become part of the association that celebrates the strong cultural, educational and professional links between Cardigan and Brioude.

After the AGM, members and friends will be looking forward to the annual lunch - to be held at Cardigan Golf Club, Gwbert on Sunday, 9 December. Then, on Saturday, 22 December a fund-raising coffee morning will be held in the Radley Room (9am-noon).
