THE 142nd Cardigan Bay Regatta at New Quay saw a variety of weather conditions and president Morlais Davies from New Quay witnessed some exciting sailing races over the three days.

The popular shore activity programme attracts children, locals and visitors from near and far.

More than 70 children took part in the famous sand castle competition and the overall winner was Thomas Best for Hector the Hedgehog. 

The spectacular swimming and rowing events saw a total of 36 events raced amid screams of encouragement from the pier.

The inshore lifeboat came out to support the event and helped make the day a success.
