DAN Jones of Morfa Bychan was the guest speaker at the June meeting and, as usual, he had prepared a wonderful array of post cards and stamps for them to see.

He gave interesting facts about them so, as well as being entertained, they were also educated.

He also included excerpts of the Diary of a First World Soldier who was member Ted Bridges’ father and we felt both privileged and humbled to have been able to share his experiences.

They will meet again on Thursday, 21 June, at 7.30pm at the Bishop Gwilym Room, St Catherine’s Church when there will be an illustrated talk on the ‘History of Postcards’ by Richard Farman.
