THE next concert, in Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor at 7.30pm on Friday, 30 November, will be given by Matilda Lloyd (trumpet) and Leo Nicholson (piano).

Matilda was awarded a 2017 Philip and Dorothy Green Award by Making Music, who are sponsors of this recital.

Winner of the BBC Young Musician of the Year brass final in 2014, in July 2016 she made her Proms debut as a soloist.

Her first album Direct Message for Orchid Classics was released in October.

Matilda and Leo’s Dolgellau programme will range from Vivaldi and Martini to Gershwin and a new piece, Seven Halts on the Somme.
