THE society’s next meeting will be a lecture by Kate Sullivan on ‘Women Workers in North Wales Factories after World War Two’.
Kate was one of the researchers on an award-winning piece of research which looked at the experiences of women in factories in the post-war era.
Her own contribution to it was to interview women from north Wales.
The meeting will consist of a short presentation followed by a showing of a short film which was made from the interviews in the project.
Kate has been involved in several research projects in modern Welsh history and is currently coordinating a project on the First World War at Aberystwyth University.
The lecture will be held at 7.30pm in the memorial hall on Tuesday, 11 December.
