TREWYDDEL, or Moylgrove, is a pretty village near Ceibwr Bay and where they enjoyed a lovely coast and country walk, led by Medi Hughes, on Saturday, 1 September.
They followed the Afon Awen (marked on maps as Nant Ceibwr) downstream toward the sea then headed up the coast in the direction of Llandudoch.
At Cemaes Head the route followed back inland on footpaths and bridelways toward Cippyn passing two deserted chapels.
The route back to Trewyddel followed through Pantyglachfa and Penwern. A blocked footpath nearing the village necessitated a detour with a short road section back to the village.
The Saturday before the 10-mile walk started from Black Covert, near Trawscoed in the Ystwyth Valley, following bridlepaths to Rhyd-lwyd Methodist Chapel, Rhyd-yr-efail and Berthdomled to St Michael’s Church, Lledrod.
The route back via Henbant and Cwm Grognant completed a lovely walk on well signed and maintained rights of ways.
