Twinning visit
THE busload of french school children from our twin town St Germain Sur Moine, near Nantes, were entertained by Bro Pedr school.
First there were rehersals to visit at the college where five year olds gave us an energetic acting songs. Choir singing followed with great interest.
Back to school and classes were divided. Some did crafts, art or cooking and all took great interest and some hands on .
After a good lunch, first sitting, there was choir singing in the hall.
The teacher did a workout on a Welsh love song with all and the visitors were good on welsh pronunciation.
A rousing La Marseillaise from the French children,finished a convivial visit
Thanks to all teachers at Bro Pedr, especially Jane Wyn, headmistress, Dr Delyth, French Mistress and all the school children.
All went back on the bib bus to Cardiff, where they were based.
Hanes Llambed
THE December meeting of Hanes Llambed was an informal evening for members and was held in the Church Hall of St Peter’s Church in Lampeter.
It was a social event with refreshments, mulled wine, a raffle and a quiz.
The latter, which was very wide ranging was prepared by Jen Cairns.
The next meeting, at the University of Wales, Trinity St David’s, will be on Tuesday, 16 January 2018.
