THE recent meeting was held at the Porth Hotel on Tuesday, 9 October, at 2pm. Mary Williams, chairman, opened the meeting with a warm welcome to all those present, also to a new member, Paul Davis. It was a pleasure to see Doreen Price, Margaret Phillips and Freda Pierce who were able to attend.

This meeting was the Harvest Service, which was led by Gwendoline Evans, Postbach, in which members of the Clwb took part. The collection will be donated to HUTS – a charity for adults with mental health challenges. The organist was Gwyneth Davies.

Refreshments were then served by the Porth.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, 13 November, at the Porth at 2pm, with David Cooper giving a talk on ‘The Crown Jewels’.
