THE latest community news from around Llandysul.

Cancer Research

THE local community came together on Friday, 8 July, to raise money for Cancer Research at the Kings Arms.

During the course of the day, Julie Jones and Tracy Lewis were out collecting donations from local businesses.

From 6.30pm there were events such as bingo and horse racing, and a cake stall and raffle. The staff were all dressed in a very fetching pink for the occasion.

This is not the first time, nor will it be the last, that Julie Jones has organised fund-raisers. In fact, she has also run two half-marathons for Cancer Research in Edinburgh and Swansea, raising a staggering £1,300.
