Carnival

A MEETING was held on Thursday, 6 October at the Half Moon.

It was decided to have a cheque presentation evening at the Porth Hotel on Thursday, 17 November at 8pm and the AGM to follow.

Anyone wanting to hire mascots for special parties etc, please contact Meinir Davies, chairperson.

LLANDYSUL Show annual dinner will be held on Friday, 11 November at the Porth Hotel.

Clwb Croeso

THE October meeting was our Harvest Service, which was held at the Porth Hotel, was very well attended.

Mrs Williams, chairman, opened the meeting and after the notices were read, introduced our speaker, Rev Beti Wyn James.

Various members of the clwb took part in the service and the address was given by Rev James which was excellent. With thanks to Rev Beti Wyn James, Gwyneth Davies for providing the music and all those that took part.

The collection will be donated to Glangwili Hospital Stroke Ward.

Prengwyn Show

A MEETING will be held on Wednesday, 2 November at the Gwarcefel Arms at 8pm.

WI

OUR speaker for the night was Christian Newman, paramedic manager for Carmarthenshire.

The competition was a limerick including the word paramedic.

First was Gwenyth Petty, second was Judith Roberts and third was Judith Roberts.

The vote of thanks was given by Carol Thomas and tea hostesses were Rhian Thomas, Jane Kerr, Lone Howells and Gwenyth Petty.

Our next meeting will be our General Meeting held on Thursday, 3 November, with a talk and demonstration by Black Dragon Crafts.
