The President welcomed members to the meeting , including Jean after a break and Marian Jarvis for her second visit. Minutes of the last meeting were read and signed and the newsletter was read.
Members were reminded about the EWM Fashion Show, at 7pm on Thursday, 14 June, for those who had ordered tickets.
Pat took names and payments for forthcoming events.
Two members will attend the Tree Project Event at Tan y Bwlch, five members wish to go on the coach trip to Newtown for the Anything Goes theatre show and four members with two visitors hope to do the Barmouth Walking Treasure Hunt in July.
Pat gave the treasurer’s report.
Barbara explained that the July Summer Tea would be held at the Maes Cafe, Llandanwg, after first conducting WI business in the hall as usual. This will be paid out of club funds, and it is hoped that everyone can attend. Take in the sea air, have a stroll around the Maes. Transport will be provided as needed.
Pauline introduced Pippa Bondy, to speak about the Alexander Technique, which aims to help clients to recognise and ‘undo’ tension and poor bodily habits, thus increasing a sense of well-being. Pippa was warmly thanked by Jan Spicer for a most interesting talk and practical session. Members have since commented that they found her presentation very enjoyable.

The raffle was won by Pauline.
