THE minutes of the meeting held on 17 January were found to be correct.

The clerk reported that she had only received one enquiry regarding taking Frondeg Bus Shelter down but nothing had come of that.

Now Geraint Williams, Gwrach Ynys, Talsarnau had asked if it would be possible for him to take it down and make the site tidy. Members agreed to this.

The clerk reported that she had received a quote to cut the grass of the public footpaths from Meirion Griffith, and also a quote to cut the grass in the cemetery from Arwel Thomas. It was agreed to accept these quotes.

It was reported that a meeting of the Village Hall Committee had taken place and the committee was willing for the family of the late Gwilym Jones, Bryn Awelon to install a defibrillator in his memory on the wall of the village hall.

It was also noted that the AGM of the committee will be held on 28 April.

Planning Applications: Demolition of existing outhouse and erection of timber garden room - Hen Ysgol, Llanfair (NP5/66/164B); support this application.

Construction of replacement garage - Windrush, Llandanwg (NP5/66/260); support this application.

Increase eaves level of existing dwelling incorporating 7 no. rooflights, construction of new front porch and front/side extension as residential annes, installation of pitch roof on exisiting utility room and stone cladding - Hafan, Llanfair (NP5/66/14A); support this application.

Construction of detached dwelling and alterations to existing vehicular access - Land to rear of Llwyn Onn, Pant yr Onnen, Llanfair (NP5/66/70M); support this application.

The council received a letter from Gwynedd Council Highways Department, together with a contract regarding going into partnership to keep the toilet in Llandanwg open all year for the sum of £4,000.

It was agreed that the chairman would sign this contract on behalf of the council.

Cllr Annwen Hughes said she had been informed by Cllr. Mair Thomas that the double yellow lines had not been repainted on the side of the road in Llandanwg down towards the car park and that she had contacted Adrian Williams, Highways Department, regarding this and had received the following a reply it was hoped the work would be completed soon.

Cllr Annwen Hughes also said she had received an email from John Houliston voicing concern regarding the same problem and also asking if it would be possible for the white lines in the car park to be repainted and had received a reply from Adrian Williams stating he would forward the email for the attention of Gwenan Huws Tomos asking for comment.

The date of the next meeting is Thursday, 19 April.
