Guides
LLANIDLOES Guides visited Talerddig Bakery and enjoyed an afternoon tea.
They would like to thank Elisabeth Louise Rasmussen for helping and giving a talk to the Guides, and Bloomers Bakery and Talerddig Bakery Ltd for supporting.
They would also like to thank Tracey Pryce and Kate Williams for giving up their time to run the guides.
Guide Dogs
LLANIDLOES Rotary is holding a coffee morning in aid of Guide Dogs Cymru on Saturday, 22 September, at the Old Mill, High Street, from 10am until 1pm.
There will be coffee and cakes with raffle. Entry is free.
It is a chance to give your support and help provide a visually impaired person with mobility and independence in safety.
Bingo for RAFA
THERE will be bingo at the Rugby Club, Smithfield Street, on Wednesday, 12 September.
Admission is 50p, doors open at 7.30pm, eyes down 8pm.
Admission includes tea/coffee and biscuit. The event is in aid of Llanidloes RAFA.
Arwystli Society
THE Arwystli Society is arranging a trip to Leighton Home Farm Buildings in Welshpool on Wednesday, 19 September, at 2.30pm.

Tadpoles
CHRISTIAN fun for babies, preschool children and their carers including song time, story time, crafts and snacks on Wednesday, 19 September, at St Idloes Church Hall from 10am to 11.30am.

Old Market Hall
VOLUNTEERS are wanted to welcome visitors to the Old Market Hall.
Do you have any time to spare between 11am and 4pm on any Sunday, or lunchtime any day Tuesday to Saturday from the beginning of May to the end of September?
If interested ring 01686 413823 or 07717 761667, or pop in to the Old Market Hall any day except Mondays, and sign up for the days you are able to help.
Friends Together
EVERYONE is invited to come in and join on the second Wednesday of each month at St Idloes Church Hall, 2pm to 2.30pm, or any part of that time.
Guided walks
FREE guided walks around the town take place every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Meet at the town hall at 10.30am.
Walks last between one and two hours.
Millennium Garden
THE Llanidloes Millennium Garden is maintained by volunteers.
They are looking for more to join the group.
Once or every week, they meet in the garden on Friday mornings, 9am until 10am (weather permitting).

Defibrillator training day
THE Rotary Club of Llanidloes, in conjunction with Woosnam & Davies newsagents and the Community Heartbeat Trust, is offering a free defibrillator demonstration day this Saturday, 15 September, at Chatwood, Longbridge Street, between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
This free training is thanks to the following organisations: Powys Safety Solutions (local organiser on behalf of CHT), Llanidloes St John Ambulance Brigade, Llanidloes Community First Responders, Llanidloes Fire Brigade, Wales Air Ambulance, British Red Cross and Aztec Print.
Ceunant garden
CEUNANT garden, Old Hall, opened for the first time this summer as part of the National Open garden Scheme.
The amount raised for the NGS charities was £1,446.
Noah’s Ark charity concert
THE next concert for the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Appeal will be at the Rugby Club, Smithfield Street on Friday, 12 October, at 7pm.
