Rotary
A THANK you evening was held at the rugby club where a group of important contributors to Rotary good causes was warmly congratulated on their efforts during a very convivial event. Llanidloes Cubs were presented with hammers in recognition of their very successful Bird Boxes Project.
BIBS
THERE is a group for mums with babies, toddlers and mums to be. They have drop-in sessions every Thursday from 11am to 12.30pm, term-time only. Breastfeeding supporters will be available for a chat at the Old Mill Gallery (next to the function room.)
Free walks
FREE guided walks around the town take place every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Meet at the town hall at 10.30am. Walks last between one and two hours. Photographic group THE group meets at The Old Mill at 7.30pm on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Novices and new ideas welcome. Gardening club
LLANIDLOES and District Gardening Club meets in the Elephant Inn, Longbridge Street, on Tuesday, 26 February at 7.30pm. The speaker will be Emma Maxwell from Ash and Elm horticulture. She will be giving tips and advice on how to plan vegetable plots. New members are welcome as well as visitors for the evening. Teas and coffees are available and drinks from the bar. Tennis club
THERE is an AGM at 6.30pm on Thursday, 28 February at the tennis clubhouse. All welcome.
Côr Llanwnog
CÔR Llanwnog meets every Thursday evening at 7.30pm in Clatter Community Hall. They are a friendly, mixed choir conducted by Graham Marshman. They sing a varied programme of music, some Welsh and some English and they perform regularly. Do Contact Graham Marshman for further details 01686 412442.
