Exhibition

BY POPULAR demand, Dorothy Jones and Violet Rees staged the exhibition of materials relating to Y Fan and the wider Llanidloes area that they first exhibited last year.

This wealth of material has been collected by them both over a lifetime and goes as far back as the early 19th century.

After the outstanding success and appreciation of the event last year, this year it was extended to two days and around 250 people visited. With the further developments at Y Fan Institute, the games room was able to be used and Violet Rees displayed her very special collection of photographs to great effect while the files containing all the written sources of information were organised into specific areas in the main hall.

The money raised will be shared between Y Fan Institute developments and Y Fan defibrillator fund.
