Brainstorming Meeting
Llanidloes Mayor Cllr Janet Crisp, has asked the public to attend a brainstorming meeting at the Council Chamber of the Town Hall on Monday, 30 April at 7.30pm with the purpose of finding ways to put Llanidloes on the map again. People can contact Cllr Crisp on 01686 413053.
Bingo
Bingo at the Rugby Club on Wednesday 25 April is in aid of Llanidloes Leg Club. Starts 7.30pm, entry 50p includes tea/coffee and biscuit.
Simba production
The Rhayader Players present Simba – the story of a young lion cub who just can’t wait to be king – at Llanidloes Community Centre, on Saturday, 14 April, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. £8 for adults, £4 children, doors open 30 minutes before curtain up. Tickets at door or from Rhayader Players.
Food festival
Saturday, 12 May at the Community Centre from 10am to 4pm there will be talks, cooking demos and stalls in a celebration of plant-based food. This is also part of National Vegetarian Week and food festival activities during the week 12-20 May. There will be cooking classes, farm visits and gardening classes and even a Big Farm Picnic on Sunday, 20 May at Cae Felyn, Old Hall from 11.30am-3.30pm.
Coffee mornings
The Coffee Morning for Great Ormond Street Hospital, at Chatwood, on Saturday, 7 April, raised £550. Peter and Ena Lymer wish to thank everyone.
Tenovus Cancer Care Choir
Llanidloes Tenovus Cancer Care Choir are playing at Clatter Community Centre on Saturday, 14 April at 7.30pm. Tickets from Jackie 01686 420616 or committee members. Proceeds toward Clatter Centre reroofing project and the Tenovus Choir.
