Community council
Both Elin Jones AM and Ben Lake MP had given their support for the community council’s and the community’s efforts to make the B4337 a safer route to school.
Cllr Rees-Evans reported that the county council had begun the work to erect the school warning lights and a new vehicle-activated speed sign near to the ford on the B4337.
It is hoped now that motorists will heed the signs and drive more carefully on the B4337 towards the village.
The street light on the junction of the A487 and the B4337 had been repaired but it was noted that there were no street lamps between the junction and Dolwyre.
A reminder that defibrillator training will be given by the charity Welsh Hearts on Wednesday, 14 March, at 7.30pm in the Memorial Hall. Everyone is welcome to come along, it is free.
Correspondence received this month was from Ceredigion County Council giving notice of meetings on Ageing Well in Wales and the Transformation of Social Care and Well Being and of workshops on creating a Ceredigion Local Well Being Plan.
Also, a notice that Dyfed-Powys Police were holding a public meeting at Aberystwyth University on the 8 March.
Thank you letters were received from Welsh Hearts, Samaritans, Llanrhystud Church, Llanddeiniol Community Association and Air Ambulance Wales.
It was decided to renew membership of One Voice Wales again this year.
The next meeting is on 4 April at 8pm in the Memorial Hall.
