ON 2 July, members were welcomed by the president, Delyth Jenkins to a garden party held at Parc, the home of one of the members. It was a glorious day and everyone were able to sit outside. The business was discussed before the tea. Minutes were read and signed and the news letter read and discussed.

There were a few birthdays on the day and around so Happy Birthday was sung. Also Mr and Mrs Potts were congratulated on their 70th wedding anniversary.

Members had brought plates of savouries and desserts so a very varies tea was enjoyed by all.

The competition was for the smartest handbag and the 1st prize went to Elizabeth Potts, 2nd to Delyth Jones and 3rd to Averina Lewis.

Delyth thanked Kath and Tony Dunn for letting us use their lovely garden and house and for the lovely tea they provided. She then wished everyone a happy holiday and the WI will resume on 3 September, at 1.30pm.
