DELYTH Jenkins, president, welcomed the members to the meeting.
The minutes were read and signed and the monthly letter read and discussed.
The guest Arwel Jones was introduced and he gave a talk on Ohio.
He said that originally six families had moved to Ohio from around this area and very soon after in 1818 another 3,000 went.
They sailed from Liverpool and had to wait a long time for boats to take them.
After a short time over there they had established 25 welsh chapels.
In June 2018 there will be celebrations held at several villages to commemorate 200 years, culminating in a big concert in the square field in Aberaeron with several people from Ohio coming over to take part.
He hoped that lots of people supported them.
The competition was for best medical remedy and won by Delyth Jenkins, Maureen Howells and Averina Lewis.
Next meeting will be on 7 May.
