PLANNERS have approved an extension to an existing caravan park to provide five additional static caravan pitches and parking, Maesperthi Caravan Park, Penegoes; section 73 application to vary condition attached to planning permission P/2013/0290 to allow an extension of time in which to commence development approved, namely: “Erection of a new retail convenience store with petrol sales,” Station Garage, Heol-y-Doll, Machynlleth.

In the same period, county planners refused an application for the erection of three dwellings, formation of vehicular access and all associated works, land adjacent to Llys Gwynant, Llan, Llanbrynmair.

Mach Maethlon

A TWO-HOUR crop-growing workshop will be held in the White Lion Hotel’s upstairs meeting room on Thursday, 19 April, 6pm to 8pm.

League Cup: Rugby Club 8, White Lion 3; Dai Wyn Division One Cup: Dwynant 8, Rugby Club 5; Division One Singles: Mark Gaskell (Rugby Club) 5, Osian Lewis (White Lion) 2; Division One Doubles: Osian Lewis & Mikey Jones (White Lion) 5, Dai Owen & Gareth Ian Evans (Tredegar Arms) 3; Open Singles: Dai Owen (Tredegar Arms) 2, Aron Jones Rugby Club 1; Corey Rowlands Division two Cup: White Horse 8, Fozzers A 3; Division Two Doubles: Alwyn Jones & Ed Jones (Wynnstay) 3, Karen Davies & Mike Jones (Slaters) 1; Division Two Singles: Ed Jones (Wynnstay) 3, Meleri Corfield (Fantastic Fozzers) 0.

Marston Skinners Arms won 8-4 in their promotion/relegation play-off match with Fozzers A while, in the consolation cup final, Dwynant overcame White Horse 8-2.
