Cross Inn WI
IT certainly wasn’t “too-wit to-woo” last Monday evening when Cross Inn WI were introduced to four owls and their owners!
Liz and her daughter, Amber, from the ‘Birds of Prey Centre’, based in Pentre’r Bryn, gave an insight into the rearing and training of the birds so that they could learn the skills of hunting for their prey, just as they would if living in the wild. There was a tawny owl, a barn owl, a short eared owl and finally, the star of the show, a baby owl who had only been with them a matter of weeks.
Such a fascinating evening which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
