Walkers
The August walk was led by Morlais Davies in the Llansadwrn area near Llanwrda.
Seven walkers with one dog took part on a cloudy but mild day and the weather remained kind except for a light shower during the afternoon.
The landscape consisted of hills and valleys which provided interesting walking and glorious views from the tops to the Towy Valley and the Carmarthen Bans with Penyfan and Corn Du in the distance.
There were a number of points of note along the way, including the Abermarlais Estate, now sold off and the mansion house; the ancient Roman road which formed part of the route and the thatched traditional Welsh farmhouse at Aberdeunant managed by the National Trust.
It was also a novelty to find the route going directly through the attached garage of a cottage near Llansadwrn.
The next walk on Saturday, 22 September, will be in the Llanarth area. Details from Glyn on 01545 561285.
