Camera club

AFTER participating in an eight club pdi competition in Tenby last week, the Thursday meeting in the memorial hall was a discussion evening, where members were encouraged to bring along images, taken by themselves, or others, for discussion as to the why, and how, they were inspired by them.

There was also an opportunity to discuss any problems members have with their cameras.

On 10 October there will be a four-way print competition at the Cardigan club, and the next meeting, in the memorial hall, on 18 October at 7.30pm, will be a portrait studio evening.

Fish and chips

NEW Quay RNLI is holding a fish and chips night at the New Quay Yacht Club on Saturday from 7pm.

It is part of an RNLI scheme encouraging people to come together with friends, family or their community and organise or attend a fishy-themed, fun eating experience, to raise vital funds to help save lives at sea.

A range of fish suppers are already being organised by RNLI fundraisers, lifeboat stations and businesses across the UK and Ireland, where people can enjoy a fish-inspired dish while raising funds for the charity’s life-saving services.

Tickets for Saturday’s event – which includes cod and chips and entertainment from local sea shanty group ‘Three Sheets To The Wind’can be obtained on the door or in advance by emailing [email protected]
