Walkers

ON Saturday, 29 June, 16 walkers and three dogs assembled at the Rookery car park in Lampeter for a six-and-ahalfmile circular walk.

Led by Morlais Davies, the first section took them down to the banks of the Teifi and much of the morning was spent meandering through the meadows following the river bank southwards.

The route then took the party away from the river through Dolaugwyrddon and on to a short stretch of the main road before turning off past Pentre Shon on to a farm lane and field paths. After lunch the group climbed gently to Bryngwyn and on to the welcome shade of Long Wood. The last section went past the Falcondale Hotel and down the drive to some well deserved refreshments at the Black Lion in the town.

The next walk on Saturday, 20 July, will be in the Cwmhiraeth area near Drefach Felindre. Further details from Glyn on 01545 561285.
