Camera Club
THIS Thursday’s meeting was a practical evening, putting into practice, techniques introduced by Joe Rosie, of ‘Carmarthen Cameras’ at the previous meeting.
Club equipment was set up to transform the meeting room into a studio, and a model hired for the evening.
In conjunction, a table-top studio was also set up, and one of the newer members brought in a light-box, to add a new dimension to the equipment available.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all, with results and experiences shared at the end of the session.
Next meeting, on 1 December, will be the Christmas dinner at the Hungry Trout Restaurant, and will include our Annual Trophy Competition, on an Open theme, to be judged by Jan Cawley and Ed Cloutman, both brilliant photographers and highly respected judges.

Royal British Legion AGM
THE AGM of the branch took place on Monday, 14 November, at 6.30pm in the Memorial Hall.
In his report, the chairman, John Evans, thanked the committee for all their hard work during the year, and despite the lack of members it had been a successful year, as far as a meaningful, Remembrance Service, and Poppy Appeal were concerned.
He was pleased the branch had been able to continue its work. He drew attention to the fact that the branch committee must have a minimum four officers and three committee members. The branch was just able to fulfil this requirement, but obviously more members are required.
The following were elected: president, Avril Watters; chairman, John Evans; vice-chair, Julie Thomas; secretary, Major (retd) Jim Evans; treasurer, Graham Collins; Poppy Appeal, Julie Thomas; membership, Major (retd) Jim Evans/Graham Collins; welfare, Major (retd) Jim Evans.
