THURSDAY evening’s meeting was a four-way print battle between New Quay, Aberystwyth, Cardigan and Carmarthen, judged by a very meticulous guest judge, Roy Peters, from Tenby, who offered his opinion on how many of the submissions might be improved. New Quay emerged worthy winners, taking their own trophy for only the second time since its introduction.The next meeting, on 20 April in the Memorial Hall at 7.30pm, will be an in-house competition on the theme of ‘Events’ and will be an ideal opportunity for prospective new members to view the work submitted.

RNLI fundraising coffee morning

THE New Quay RNLI Fund-raising Committee is holding an Easter coffee morning at the Port of Call on Saturday, 15 April, between 10am and noon. Teas and coffees will be served along with delicious toasted hot cross buns.There will also be an Easter raffle with lots of lovely prizes.Please come along in large numbers to support the fundraisers in their very worthy cause of raising money for the saving of lives at sea.
