Holy Trinity Church
SERVICES - Advent Sunday, 1 December: 10am, Cymun Bendigaid; Wednesday, 4 December: 10am, Holy Communion.
On Tuesday, 3 December: Mothers’ Union ‘Preparation for Christmas’ at 2pm – service in church, followed by refreshments in the church community hall
On Wednesday, 4 December, at 5pm, the Christmas Tree Festival will be opened by the mayor.

Royal British Legion
THE November branch meeting was held at Cawdor Hall on 19 November.
The chairman reported that pupils of Ysgol Ddwylan had gathered for a brief ceremony at the war memorial on 8 November followed by a short talk by Esther Peacock on women’s role in wartime.
A large congregation representative of the whole community had attended the Remembrance Sunday service conducted by Rev John Powell at Holy Trinity Church on 10 November and the wreath-laying ceremony at the war memorial which followed the service.
Refreshments were provided in the community hall, courtesy of the Scouts.
Armistice Day on Monday, 11 November, was observed by a two minute silence at the war memorial by those able to attend.
Ieuan James (PAO) advised that the collection taken in church was £555 and that the 2019 Poppy Appeal, which continues until September 2020, had reached £9,000 so far.
The chairman’s annual letter will be issued shortly with details of the annual dinner at the rugby club on Friday, 24 January 2020.
All members, collectors, helpers, supporters and friends are welcome to attend.

Poppy unpacking will take place at the RC church hall at 6pm today (Wednesday, 27 November).
The next branch meeting will be at Cawdor Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday, 17 December - followed by festive refreshment.
