Pensioners’ Group

THE Penparcau Community Forum’s Hub community centre was happy to play host to the Penparcau Pensioners’ Group on Tuesday, 4 September.

The group came in for lunch and a get-together and many of those spoken to were full of praise for the Hub and its facilities.

One of the diners, and a regular Hub attendee, Eira Gemmell (pictured second left) said: “In my 82 years, this place has been the single best thing to happen in Penparcau.”

Praising the standard of the catering, Penparcau resident Ann Allen said “the food was lovely, and everything cooked beautifully”.

The proceedings were wound up at 2.30pm.

The chair of the group, Enid Walsh, thanked everyone for attending and led the assembled in a rousing rendition of Mae Hen Wlad fy Nhadau.
