Half-term at The Hub

PENPARCAU Community Forum’s events co-ordinator Julie Thomas has thanked everyone who contributed to such a fun social evening at The Hub on 13 October and to The Trill-Bies for providing the music.

But, far from resting on her laurels, Julie is as busy as ever.

“We can’t stop now as we’ve got some special events planned for half-term,” she said. “As well as all the usual activities during the daytime, The Hub will be hosting a half-term Halloween party on 31 October from 4pm to 6pm.”

“Come dressed as your favourite spooky character, with prizes for fancy dress in all age categories and, if you’ve got a carved pumpkin at home, bring it along, with prizes for the best and scariest.”

On half-term Friday, 2 November, The Hub is holding a family fun day in aid of the defibrillator fund.

Kids’ bingo, a bouncy castle, raffle, tombola and hot dogs and chips will be available.

The fun day is on from 10am to 3pm.
