Christmas Market

THE annual Bont Christmas Market will be held at the pavilion on Sunday, 20 November between 10.30am and 4pm. There will be various craft and gift stalls, Christmas Carols, demonstrations, food and drink. The entrance fee will be £3, including mulled wine, and children admitted free of charge. The proceeds of the market will be presented to charities.

Coed y Bont

COED y Bont will be holding an event at Pantyfedwen Hall on Thursday, 10 November, from 7.30pm until 9pm. The subject will be Pine Martens in Wales. Chris Harris will host and chair a talk delivered by David Bavin, Pine Marten officer for Wales who will give an update on the re-introduction of these mammals in the Mid-Wales area and particularly around Coed y Bont.

It is hoped that their predatory nature will help to reduce and control the number of resident grey squirrels thus creating a living environment to enable the native red squirrel to return and thrive in the area. Admission is free but small donations are welcome.
