MEMBERS of the Porthmadog Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints are inviting people from the area to join them in a couple of activities just before Christmas.

On Saturday, 21 December, there will be a Christmas party, when people attending will be invited to take part in a Nativity event as well as enjoying traditional Holy Land refreshments afterwards. Adults and children are welcome.

The programme starts at 4pm and will last until around 6pm or 7pm.

The party will be held at their chapel opposite Travelodge in Porthmadog.

On Sunday, 22 December, starting at 10am there will be a Christmas service of carols and readings. Afterwards, church members hope to visit a senior-citizens’ home to sing carols; if visitors wish they are invited to join with the Saints in this activity too.

Following the carol-singing expedition, everybody is invited to come back to the chapel for Christmas refreshments.
