THE last meeting was held at 7pm on 3 July, at the Ala Road Chapel Vestry and was chaired by the president Daphne Jones.

Due to the unavoidable absence of the guest speaker the evening had to re-arranged.

Daphne and Sian gave a very interesting and informative report of their attendance at the AGM conference at Cardiff in June.

The details of the ‘craft’ meetings to start in September were finalized and it was decided to have the next meeting of the Book Club at 7pm on 19 July.

The rest of the evening took the form of ‘getting to know you’ time, when all the members were able to chat amongst themselves over a cup of tea.

The tea hostesses were Eryl Lokley and Olwen Davies.

The raffle, given by Betty Coles, was won by Sian Evans.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, 4 September, at about 2pm-2.30pm and will be a visit to the Fron Goch Garden Centre, Caernarfon for a demonstration and then afternoon tea.
