members took part in the Ceredigion Federation Spring and Winter Rallies. Wonderful examples of skill were on show, such as knitting, sewing, felting, floral art, jewellery and cooking. Taliesin WI members thanked the Federation committee for presenting this twice-yearly exhibition.

After a very enjoyable day for the winter rally, Cwm Cou won the Cooperative, with Taliesin second.

Within the food section, Taliesin won three firsts, two seconds and four highly commended prizes. In floral art, there were four firsts, one second and two highly commended prizes, plus a second place within the craft section.

Liz Roberts gained the most points in cookery and received the Abermeurig Shield. The Marilyn Coleman Salver was presented to Beti Wyn Davies for the highest points attained in floral art and Christine Gilbert received the Helen Davies Salver for the best exhibit in all classes.

Taliesin WI attained the most points in the whole competition, so received the Jowitt Silver Rose Bowl. The Countess of Lisburne Cup was presented to Taliesin WI for accumulating most points in the spring and winter rallies. Congratulations also to Jill, Linda, Val, Sylvia and Kath for receiving commendations for their entries and our best wishes to Liz and Chris who now go on to represent Ceredigion Federation in the Royal Welsh Winter Fair.
