Clwb Cerdded/Walking Club

THE next walk is scheduled for 14 September and has been organised by Bethan Evans (01970 611709/07792 228124), Avarinah Davies and Debbie White.

The walk is called ‘Discover Summits Cadair Idris’. The walk follows the Pony Path, the main route up Cadair Idris from the Dolgellau side and which offers the most rewarding views. Gentle stretches alternating with steep ascents eventually take us to the bleak terrain of frost shattered rock on the summit, Penygadair.

Here they will rest and enjoy the views or shelter in the refuge close to the summit cairn.

The return is by the same route.

The walk is to last approximately six hours and is graded a hard walk over a distance of six miles, with an ascent of 2,400ft/730m.

Meet outside Y Talbot at 9am or T? Nant car park near Dolgellau (GR SH 697153) at 10.45am.

Should you wish to become a member of Clwb Cerdded Tregaron Walking Club then phone Gwyneth, membership secretary on 01974 298802.
