Clwb Cinio

TWENTY-SEVEN members attended the lunch on Wednesday, 23 October, in Y Talbot restaurant.

John Evans, the SCC from Lampeter, came to give them leaflets about stopping fraud.

An excellent talk was provided by Eirlys Morgan. She talked about being brought up in Bronant as the third child in a family of seven and she still lives in the house she grew up in.

She went to school in Bronant and Tregaron and did not find out for years that the people who taught her in Ysgol Uwchradd were Welsh speakers.

Then she went on to college in Trinity St David’s Carmarthen where she trained to be a teacher.

When she qualified, she returned to Ceredigion to teach first in Penparcau and then in Lledrod.

Everyone enjoyed the afternoon and Delyth gave the vote of thanks.

The date of the trip in November has been changed from Thursday, 14 November to Tuesday, 12 November when the coach will be leaving the square at 10.30am to go to Trago Mills in Merthyr Tydfil.

The evening meal will be in Lloyds’ Fish and Chip Shop, Lampeter. Please let Delyth know if you would like to attend.

The lunch is on Wednesday, 27 November, when Donald Morgan will be coming to entertain.

Please let Delyth know if you wish you attend.
