AS usual, the March meeting was a cawl evening, this year held at Y Talbot on Wednesday, 8 March. The meal was excellent and afterwards the entertainment was organised by one of the members Jane Hughes, who accompanied us the piano whilst everyone sang various welsh numbers that she had selected.

Jane also brought along Elin Williams a nine-year-old, who has won many prizes at eisteddfodau. She was dressed in a Welsh costume and sang and recited for them, which members enjoyed.

The meeting also coincided with Fair Trade fortnight and the hamper, donated by members of the executive, was won by the guests, the carnival queen, Gwenno Dark and her mother.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday, 12 April, starting at 7.30pm in the Memorial Hall. Michael Griffiths will be talking about ‘Saving the Honey Bees’.

They will be joined by members of Llanddewi Brefi WI and would love to see other visitors. If you are interested, phone Monica Rose on 298165.
