THE service on Sunday, 1 October, will be held in the Pantyfedwen hall, Pontrhydfendigaid, beginning at 2.30pm and led by Lavina Porter.

Tregaron Show

THE Annual General Meeting of Tregaron Show will take place on Thursday, 5 October, at 8pm in the Rugby Club.

All are welcome.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

THE Macmillan coffee morning will take place on 29 September from 10am to noon at the Memorial Hall.

There will be a cake stall, raffle and bring & buy.

Coffee and biscuits as usual, any donations for the stalls would be welcome and any helpers who have time would be very much appreciated.

Funds will be matched by Barclays Bank £ for £.

Clwb Cerdded/Walking Club

THE next walk is scheduled for 14 October, and has been organised by Rod Turner, 01974 298237.

The Legend of Carreg Bica, Llangrannog: This is a varied circular walk (including some steep paths and steps) taking in a wooded section of the Hoffnant valley, a cliff walk to Llangrannog beach area for lunch, overviews of Carreg Bica and Ynys Lochtyn and a return to our starting point via Pigeonsford.

According to local legend Carreg Bica is one of the devil’s teeth, ripped out in anger owing to toothache and thrown to its current landing place.

The walk starts from outside Y Talbot at 9am and the walk is to last approximately four hours and is graded a Moderate walk which covers 6.5 miles with an ascent of 1700ft/520m.
