Clwb Cinio

ON Wednesday, 6 December, 23 members visited Ysbyty Cynfyn Church to see their annual decorations with the theme of miracles.

The party received an enthusiastic welcome with a warming mug of cawl when they arrived and tea and cakes before they left. After looking around the displays, Robin gave a short talk and then carols were sung.

The annual Christmas lunch was held at Y Talbot on Wednesday, 13 December.

Because of the weather only 30 people attended, but a nice meal was followed by Delyth’s mince pies, which were enjoyed by all.

Father Christmas visited them and gave everyone a gift and Jane Hughes played the organ while they sang Christmas carols.

Next month’s lunch is on Wednesday, 24 January, in Y Talbot. Contact Delyth if you would like to attend.

Clwb Cerdded

THE Boxing Day walk will once again be one of the club’s annual walks that brings people of all ages together for a festive footpath foray during the Christmas period.

The club’s faithful toy turkey, Terwyn – last turkey to be sold by Woolworths in Aberystwyth in December 2008 – will once again be along for the walk.

The walk starts from outside Y Talbot at 10.30am and is to last approximately three hours.

It is graded a moderate walk with an ascent of 1,240ft/380m and is organised by Dafydd Wyn Morgan (01974 298150), who you can also get in touch with if you would like to become a member of Clwb Cerdded Tregaron Walking Club.
