Bowling Club

April 300 Club: 29 Margaret Powell, 46 Ifan Meredith, 228 Ann Evans.

The official opening of the 2018 season of Tregaron Bowling Club will be on Friday evening, 13 April, at 6pm.

Clwb Cinio

On Wednesday, 28 March 35 members had lunch at Y Talbot. They enjoyed a brief impromptu recitation in Welsh by Mair Jones and ended with Calon Lân.

On 25 April they are due to have a fire safety talk at Y Talbot.

Whilen y Porthmyn

Notice is hereby given that the AGM of Whilen y Porthmyn will be convened at 7.30pm on Thursday, 12 April, in the Memorial Hall.

The first item on the agenda will be the future of Whilen y Porthmyn, and the outcome of this discussion will dictate the subsequent proceedings.

English Methodist Church

The service on Sunday, 15 April will be held in the Pantyfedwen hall, Pontrhydfendigaid, led by Ann Price and beginning at 2.30pm.

Clwb Cerdded

The next walk is scheduled for 14 April and has been organised by Dafydd, 07748 675 798. ‘The Pig Trail – Pumlumon Fawr from Nant y Moch’.

We’ll follow the road from the dam and aim for the Bryn Beddau quarry. From here we turn up and head for Pumlumon Fach.

This is definitely an up and down route.

The meeting point is outside Y Talbot at 9.30am. The walk is to last approximately four to five hours and is graded a moderate walk which covers 6.5 miles with an ascent of 1732ft/ 530m.

Kite Centre and Museum

The launch of the Tregaron Kite Centre and Museum’s 2018 season was held on Monday, 2 April.

The centre will be open from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

There will be an exhibition of railway memorabilia and a warm welcome is extended to all.
