Garden club

ON Tuesday, 12 February, at 7.30pm, members were joined by a number of friends and members of the Greener Tywyn Group. Joanna Houseman gave a talk with slides, showing what the group had achieved since it was formed about 18 months ago. By working together they hope for a more sustainable community. A number of local shops and businesses are already using less plastic.

The vote of thanks was given by Stewart Jones. The lucky door entrance ticket was won by Mrs Francis. Refreshments were served by Mr and Mrs Dodds.

Dr Church reported on the Meirioneth Horticultural Society AGM and meal outcome, instead of Mr Deakin. The next meeting will be in Tywyn Baptist Church on Tuesday, 12 March, at 7.30pm. Visitors are charged £2 entrance. Allan Evans of Horticultural Society Conwy will be showing us how to grow sweetpeas.
