Inner Wheel Club

THE past few months have been a very busy time for the lady members of Tywyn Inner Wheel Club.

President Mair Worsey welcomed district chairman Sue Howard, from Formby, to the monthly meeting held in May.

After giving an informative talk, the district chairman presented the newest member, Jackie Windsor Lewis from Aberdyfi, with her installation badge and membership to the club.

A cheque for £100 was given to Sue Howard’s charity, namely, Rainbow House.

April was the overseas month with an interesting slide shown by Mr and Mrs Tivy Jones from the Bangor Club, relating to their visit to India to administer polio immunisation.

At the beginning of April, four members of the club attended the exhilerating annual national association conference for Inner Wheel Club, which was held in Cardiff.

Several of the members will be attending the Inner Wheel district AGM and international service rally being held in Llangollen in early June, with a large lorry will be filled with donations of clothes, bedding and food collected from this district for despatching to the needy in Europe.

The next fundraiser will be a strawberry tea to be held in Llys Meuric, Abbeyfield Home, on Tuesday, 25 June from 2.30pm. All welcome.

The club’s arrangements for the annual Race the Train event, run by the Rotary Club in August, are now being made.
