THE latest community news from Tywyn
Garden club
ON 9 July at 9am, 28 members and friends of the club enjoyed a lovely day out visiting the hall and gardens in Abbey-Cwm-Hir in Powys.
From the top of 12-acre gardens you look down on the beautiful gardens, hall, and trees, village church, and beyond.
The next club project is ‘The Floral Train’.
The Talyllyn Steam Train will leave Tywyn wharf station Tuesday at 7.30pm, on 13 August. Tickets are being sold online and at Tywyn wharf station. The male voice choir will be singing at Abergynolwyn on arrival.
Members who promised to help in the preparation of flowers for the train, are asked to meet at No 10 Ar-y-Don on Friday, 9 August at 10am – noon to do greenery, and the same place again on Tuesday, 13 August at 10am to do button holes and make some flower rings.
