Garden club
TYWYN Garden Club last met on 10 December, where many apologies were given.
There were also many visitors to hear the speaker for the evening, Emma Maxwell.
Emma originally trained as a grower and a tutor.
She is a partner in Ash & Elm Partnerships which works to enhance the long-term wellbeing of people and the planet, providing local wholesome food.
Emma gave an inspirational informative talk with lots of special tips on growing food in any sized patch of garden, or container.
The annual meal is Sunday lunch at 1pm in The Proper Gander.
Dr David Church recommended books to read from the library.
Peggy Griffiths was thanked for cooking the mince pies for refreshments at the end of the meeting.
The next meeting is on Tuesday, 14 January in the Baptist Church.
Myra Dodds will be demonstrating ‘Flower arrangements for the winter’.
They are holding a competition, to be judged by Mrs Dodds, ‘Your impression of winter using only wood and foliage’.
Everyone welcome, £2 for visitors, start 7.30pm prompt.
