Festive fund-raiser

TRADERS across the area joined forces on Friday, 23 December, in a festive fund-raiser for Wales Air Ambulance.

Staff at over 70 businesses donated money to Air Ambulance and wore Christmas hats in a day of fun that has raised almost £800 to support the charity’s essential work.

Event co-ordinator, Joanne Parton was delighted at the take up, she said:“We’ve been overwhelmed by the response of the community, we often see the Air Ambulance landing and that emphasises what a vital service they provide to the community. This is the chance to say ‘Thank you’ at this charitable time of year.”A Hamper, awarded to the best individual hat was won by Deja Vu, while the best display of hats from a company went to Tywyn Floral Centre.

Hearing aid

THE next walk-in session of the service will be on Thursday, 5 January, 10am, until noon, in the Baptist Church. If your hearing aid needs a service, new tubing or batteries, come along, no appointment necessary.
