THE latest community news from Llanidloes.
Rotary Club
THE club enjoyed a friendly quiz night against Llangollen during the second round of the Rotary quiz.
The visiting Rotarians shared a meal and a chat with members before they went head to head in the quiz.
The questions had arrived in a sealed envelope and were opened in front of the two teams by the quiz master, John Breese. Suitably placed as a former soldier and local teacher, John ran the quiz with military precision with the ability to explain any ambiguous questions.
Llanidloes led the quiz with an impressive start, but were beaten 61-55 in the last set of questions.
President John Cradduck thanked members and supporters of the Llangollen team for travelling down to Llanidloes and wished them luck in the next round of the quiz.
The night highlighted the strong bond between fellow Rotarians from different clubs and was a great chance to share ideas and make new friends.
