OVER 130 people turned out to enjoy a concert in Nefyn to celebrate St David’s Day and raise funds in memory of two young children.
Côr y Golff, under the directorship of Shan Gruffydd, entertained with a variety of Welsh songs, supported by their soloist Iona Wyn Roberts, at Y Ganolfan in Nefyn.
Dafydd Rhun, head of drama at Ysgol Glan Clwyd, also sang traditional as well as modern Welsh songs and gave two moving renderings from Les Misérables.
The charity concert was in memory of two Nefyn babies, Efan Wyn and Bobbi Rees.
Both sets of parents agreed that all of the proceeds of the evening should go towards buying a car hoist for another Nefyn child, Cai Morgan.
The equipment will allow Cai and his family to lift his heavy wheelchair into their car and enable him to more easily go out with the rest of the family.
Over £1,200 was raised on the night and donations are still being received at Nanhoron Hotel or by calling Shan on 01758 721348.
The concert appeal will close on Saturday, 19 March.
