HEAVY rain has caused flooding on the Conwy Valley railway line between Blaenau Ffestiniog and North Llanwrst.
The flooding has disrupted train travel.
A spokesperson for Transport for Wales said: “Due to heavy rain flooding the railway between North Llanrwst and Blaenau Ffestiniog some lines are blocked.
“Road replacement [is] in operation between North Llanwrst and Blaenau Ffestiniog. Disruption is expected until 11pm.”
The flooding follows a yellow weather warning for heavy rain.
The weather warning came into force from midnight last night, and predicting three days of torrential downpours.
The Met Office said: "Several days of persistent and occasional heavy rain are expected to affect the region.
“The heaviest and most persistent rain is likely to be across Wales and the high ground of northern England (Pennines).
“By early Thursday, 30-60mm of rain is expected to fall widely across the warning area, with 100-150mm over the high ground of Wales and northern England.
“Up to 200mm is possible across parts of North Wales.
“Strong winds will also accompany the rainfall and may add to travelling difficulties across areas higher and more exposed routes.”
The weather warning runs from midnight tonight until midday on Thursday.
Residents are warned of the risk for flooding to homes and businesses, as well as damage to some buildings.
Fast flowing and deep floodwater is possible, "causing a danger to life", the Met Office said.
It’s possible that some communities may become cut off by flooded roads, and driving conditions will be difficult.
