CEREDIGION has recorded three new cases of coronavirus today.

The county, which recorded four days straight without a positive Covid-19 test earlier this week, has recorded three cases today.

Elsewhere, Gwynedd and Carmarthenshire have both recorded two cases today with Powys and Pembrokeshire both recording one.

The latest cases take Ceredigion’s total to six cases over the last seven days.

Gwynedd over the last seven days has recorded 29 cases of the virus with Carmarthenshire recording 19 cases; Powys recording 23 and Pembrokeshire, eight.

Across Wales, 48 cases of the virus have been recorded today. No new deaths have been recorded however, leaving the total at 5,535.

Lateral Flow tests are being made available to people who cannot work from home from today.

Anyone who is required to physically go into their workplace can, if they wish, collect lateral flow device (LFD) testing kits from the drive-through sites listed below. There is no need to book an appointment, as these can be collected between 9.30am and 12.30pm, seven days a week from Canolfan Rheidol in Aberystwyth; Carmarthen Showground; Pembrokeshire Archives in Haverfordwest and Dafen Yard in Llanelli.

They are also available in Gwynedd at Dean Street Car Park in Bangor.

Across Wales, 1,657,028 have received a first dose of Covid-19 vaccine and 574,590 a second dose.

In Hywel Dda 263,001 vaccinations have been administered up until April 14, 21,857 in the last seven days.

In Carmarthenshire 95,973 first doses have been administered, and 26,523 second doses, Pembrokeshire has seen 66,657 first dose appointments and 18,008 second dose and in Ceredigion 37,212 first doses have been given as well as 10,648 second doses.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is urging anyone in the top nine priority groups who has not yet been invited for a vaccine jab to get in touch.
