Madam,

I understand that Aberystwyth town councillors have confirmed that it is official council policy to back a proposal to remain in Europe in the forthcoming European Union referendum and have thrown their weight behind the campaign and passed a vote confirming same.

I treat with derision their comment that Ceredigion is the most Europhile place in the UK, which only proves how out of touch they are with reality, and that they really should get out more. When faced with very difficult and possibly life-changing decisions and in order to clear my mind, I always apply the litmus test and ask myself what would the Aberystwyth town councillors do in this situation and then I always do the opposite to what I know they would suggest, and blow me down with a feather it always turns out to be the correct result.
