A CEREMONY was held at the New Quay Yacht Club to mark a total of over 104 years of active support to the local RNLI fundraising group by George and Jean Legg.
Fundraisers and supporters, both past and present, assembled at the club where, over coffee and refreshments, lifeboat coxswain and county councillor Daniel Potter made a surprise presentation.
Framed certificates were presented to Mr and Mrs Legg, to mark their outstanding active service and support.
George continues to be the New Quay fundraising president, a role he has held for some ten years.
A further presentation was made to Alan Tomkins, a recently retired member of the New Quay lifeboat team, to mark his 14 years of service.
